Fans need to pay attention to trade routes and make sure that they never let their rivals dominate the most important lanes, while also trying to influence neutral states.
Brave New World will also introduce a new archeological system that will enhance culture and will place more importance on tourism.
Gamers will also be able to force new patch for their civilizations using ideologies.
Firaxis says that its primary aim is to create a more interesting end game for dedicated players.
The Brave New World expansion for Civilization V launches on the PC on July 9.
