The official website of the City of Newark in New Jersey was hacked for the second time this month by a hacker known as Kahuna.

According to the hacker, after the first breach took place, the administrators didn’t secure the site, which allowed him to gain access for the second time.

Unfortunately for Newark officials, Kahuna also made public the administrator logins, allowing anyone to gain access to the site’s backend and cause serious damage.

The site of the Newark police was also targeted by hackers not long ago, as part of OpPiggyBank, an operation launched by hackers against law enforcement organizations.

Other websites breached as part of this operation include the West Virginia Police, Syracuse Police, Wyoming State Troopers, Salt Lake City Police, and the Alabama Police. In all these scenarios, the hackers leaked all the data they could find on their servers.
