Paragon Studios is celebrating the launch of Issue 16: Power Spectrum, but it's not doing so in-house, over a bottle of wine and party crackers. It's doing it with the gamers of City of Heroes. All inactive accounts in good standing along with the rest of the active players will be able to enjoy a free Reactivation and Double XP weekend. Starting October 8, all those previously mentioned will be able to collect the results that came from endless hours of work spent inside the Powers Customization and Mission Architect. The Weekend will also grant a free boost to all experience points gained. Players will get
double the gain for the same load of work for all XP, Influence and Infamy gained during this promotion.

Mission Architect is a user-generated content system that proved to be a huge hit with the fans of City of Heroes. More than 50,000 story arcs were generated with the help of the editor and even the upcoming Going Rogue expansion pack. If there was a great time to play City of Heroes, now would be it. Well, maybe except for when the game started and all the hype it caused gathered tons of players and even gave birth to some of the strangest creatures since Spore.

The game client can be downloaded form the official site for both the PC and MAC. For all those who don't know City of Heroes, the game is a massive multiplayer online role-playing game that relies on the comic book genre and makes use of a DC Comics styled universe. The game was developed by Cryptic Studios and Paragon Studios and published by NCsoft, and it offered a powerful and complex customization of your character and let you be part of one of the two generic factions, the good and the evil or, more precisely, you could choose to be a superhero or a villain.

The game received great praise from the gamers as well as from the critics, and a huge number of awards from different game magazines, and fans proved very fond of it. The customization options offered for character creation gave birth to an individuality for players that is rarely found in an MMOG.
