Months after having the pleasure of meeting Steve Jobs in person to discuss the feasibility of a spaceship-style ‘Apple Campus 2’, the City of Cupertino is paying a tribute to the late Apple co-founder.

According to a post on cupertino.org, a City Council meeting was adjourned in memory of Steve Jobs on Tuesday, October 18, 2011.

“The city is in the process of reviewing the new Apple Campus 2 headquarters project, which was Mr. Jobs’ vision,” said Cupertino high-ups. City staff made the video embedded below as a tribute to Mr. Jobs.

Speaking to the City Council on June 7, 2011, Apple CEO Steve Jobs said about the ambitious building, “It’s got a gorgeous courtyard in the middle – and a lot more. It’s a circle, so it’s curved all the way round … The existing ratio of built-up area to landscaping on the site is 80:20, but the new ratio will be 20:80, that is, 80% of the site area will be greenery.”
