Cinnamon 2.0.14, a Linux desktop environment that provides new features while preserving a more conventional approach, has been released.

The 2.x branch of Cinnamon was made available a short while ago, and the developers have already issued a number of patches. This is the 14th in the series and it probably won't be the last.

There is no official announcement for Cinnamon 2.0.14 and no indication on what's changed. In any case, you will get an update soon. If not, installing it with the help of a PPA will be easy for Ubuntu fans, for example.

Just open a terminal and enter the following commands: sudo add-apt-repository ppa:gwendal-lebihan-dev/cinnamon-stable sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get install cinnamon

After installing all the necessary packages, just log out and change the log-in option to Cinnamon. In any case, you can also download the Cinnamon 2.0.14 source packages from Softpedia.
