Apparently, Cingular Wireless (AT&T as of now) is the first U.S. Carrier to offer 3D moving maps and "fuzzy search" capabilities in a GPS application, by providing Nokia E62 with an included TeleNav GPS navigator. The before mentioned phone is currently available through Cingular for as little as $99.

With the included TeleNav GPS Navigation software that offers voice and on-screen turn-by-turn directions as well as colorful and moving 3D maps, the user will be provided with an experience very close to that of in-car navigation systems. The map turns, stops and moves along with the driver and displays a realistic image of upcoming streets.

"The availability of the enhanced version of TeleNav GPS Navigator initially on the Nokia E62 device adds even more value to what is already an outstanding business device," said Jeff Bradley, Cingular's VP of business data services. "Not only do Cingular's E62 customers have a great wireless email and Web browsing experience, they can now use the latest in wireless navigational technology for handhelds to boost productivity by more easily and quickly getting to job sites, business meetings and the like."

Aside from plain navigation, the software also offers a Biz Finder feature, with the help of which users can locate restaurants, hotels, ATMs or gas stations. A Fuel Finder feature will help you find the lowest gas price in a 5-mile or wider radius, while a Pedestrian Mode is suited for walking on downtown streets.

Aside from the Nokia E62, Cingular subscribers will be able to enjoy the TeleNav GPS Navigator with the HP iPAQ hw6920 series Mobile Communicator, Cingular 8525 and 8125 Pocket PCs and the Palm Treo 650.

In order to use the software, you will need to pay a monthly fee of $5.99 a month for up to 10 trips or $9.99 a month for unlimited trips.
