Faced with criticism and mistrusted by most James Bond connoisseurs and aficionados, the soon to be the 7th super secret British agent Daniel Craig received unexpected support form veteran actor Christopher Lee.
Lee, icon of the early camp Dracula movies produced by Hammer and later re-discovered by Peter Jackson in his Lord of the Rings trilogy, was attending the Bangkok Film Festival when asked at a press conference his opinion on Craig being cast as 007.
Christopher Lee is no stranger to the Bond universe as he played villain Scaramanga in 1973's installment The Man with the Golden Gun. He is also related to Ian Fleming, the creator of the James bond novels.
Lee believes that the media gave a big "No" to Craig before even seeing anything of the movie that just started shooting in the Czech Republic. He is also not disturbed by the idea of a blond Bond.
The movie is based on the "Casino Royale" book by Ian Fleming and the producer and director Martin Campbell believe it will re-assemble the Bond Myth for the 21st century.
