Cinefy, a fun video editing and effects app for the iPhone is out as a limited beta today thanks to a partnership between Chairseven and App Creation Network. The solution lets you “direct and share your own movie magic with effects and elements from popular TV shows and video games.”

Cinefy is a mobile video editing and effects platform which amateur filmmakers can employ to create and share videos mixed with high quality visual effects.

The makers promise great results with no editing skills requirement on your behalf. You’ll insert footage, add music and apply stunning effects in no time, thanks to the app’s intuitive user interface, according to Chairseven and App Creation Network.

Those who download the app and start enjoying its features can delve even deeper and acquire individual themed or branded effect packs as in app downloads.

These will especially cater to TV and game studios as they offer the “the ability to market new properties in a way that creates exciting engagement and massive viral exposure potential,” said the two partnering firms.

Users of the video editing solution also benefit from a comprehensive catalog of copyright-cleared songs designed by Friendly Music to create soundtracks.

Cinefy creations can be exported right from within the app to various social destinations, including Facebook, YouTube and of course, Vimeo. Project files can be saved locally for later editing and sharing.

Versions for the iPad and Adroid devices are on their way, the developers said.

“As a former television director, this is a thrilling product to see in action,” remarked Gary Stover, Product Director for Chairseven.

“Cinefy was designed with amazingly intuitive controls, and is the first mobile editing tool that I have used that just makes sense the minute it's launched. We're pushing mobile video production to an entirely new level, and we can't wait to see what users create with it,” Stover added.

To participate in the limited beta, visit the official Cinefy web site here.
