The all-purpose iPad media player from NXP Software, CineXPlayer has been promoted to version 2.8 which delivers tons of new features and enhancements, as well as a weekend sale ($2.99 / 1,59 EUR) to celebrate the new release.CineXPlayer now automatically downloads DVD covers and offers AutoMagic IMdb lookup - “Player Screen Includes new IMDB button to instantly pop up info about movie.”
A new Screenager feature lets you rotate the iPad to portrait mode during playback to simultaneously watch your movie and browse the Internet.
You can now send, share, and watch your movies instantly, remotely control CineXPlayer using any web browser, or load your movies, all over Wi-Fi.
You can use the Search & Edit button to tag multiple files and moved to a folder, and there’s a new Shuffle Mode now which surely doesn’t need an explanation (unless you’ve been living under a rock for the past decade).
MP4, MOV, M4V can now be played direct from Dropbox Cloud, and there’s an all-new Screenshot function too.
Last, but not least the Video Downloader allow web movies to be directly downloaded to your device.

CineXPlayer 2.8 is compatible with iPad and requires iOS 4.0 or later.
