The Cibox Group - which is lately focusing on the storage market - presents its Cinebox, an external multimedia hard disk, which is compatible with the High Definition format.

Cibox launched a new multimedia hard disk line dubbed HD Mobile. The player is hidden under hard resistant aluminum casing and measures no more than 77 x 130 x 17 mm, being extremely lightweight, with its only 230 grams.

The item exists in two different versions, the Cinebox and the wireless Cinebox. The last one carries a wireless connector which enables the item to connect to your PC, even if it is far away from the device.

As its name shows, Cibox's multimedia hard disk is a portable hard disk which supports HD format. The device is a very complex player, capable of supporting a lot of file formats such as: MP3, WMA and OGG, DVD, VCD, S-VCD, WMV9, WMV-HD, DviX and DviX-HD, XviD et XviD-HD, AVI, VOB, ISO, DAT, MPEG1/2/4, JPEG, GIF, BMP and PNG photo format. It sports a 480i, 720p and 1080i resolution.

But the best part of all is the integrated remote control, which makes the playback even more comfortable. The portable Cibox can be charged from the USB port and it can easily be operated by a means of a remote control.

The mobile multi-media hard disk is an important item on the market, since it is one rare device that supports HD formats. Regarding the pricing and the availability, the multimedia device in 120 Go version can be purchased with 255 bucks, which might actually seem reasonable taking into account its many strong points.
