You might be familiar with the Chinese brand Chuwi. The company has produced a worthy iPad look-alike complete with Retina Display and big battery. Chuwi hasn't stopped at copying the looks of Apple slates, and with its VX1 it is offering a product reminiscent of the Oppo Smartphone.

Anyhow, the Chinese device maker has launched a super cheap tablet, called the V17HD aimed at customers who can’t really squeeze tablets in their budgets, but they would like to give them a go, nevertheless (via 1Pad).

The slate will sell for a meager $50 / €36, so you don’t need to be told, there’s nothing about this product that will blow your mind. The Chuwi V17HD has a 7-inch IPS display with 1024 x 600 pixels and draws power from a Rockchip RK3188 processor clocked at 1.6GHz, fitted with Mali 400 graphics, 1GB of RAM and backed up by 8GB of internal storage.

Other drawing points to the model include the presence of Android 4.4. KitKat OS (amazingly), Wi-Fi connection, frontal webcam and the ability to make video calls.

Keep in mind that, at this point, we’re not 100% sure whether the model will ship with 1GB or just 513MB of RAM, but I’m keeping my fingers crossed for the first option to become reality.
