At this point, there's no doubt as to how profitable “The Expendables” is, even though many movie buffs continue to ridicule the idea whenever they get a chance. Be that as it may, Chuck Norris isn't interested in doing another one.
With “The Expendables 2” now ruling the box office and even getting better reviews than the original (both from fans and film critics), one would imagine all those involved had plenty of motivation to sign on for a threequel.
Not so Chuck, who revealed in a recent interview
that he was done with the franchise. For good.
“Nope. Just number 2. This is it for me. Oh, yeah. This is very special… Just to be able to do the film with guys I’ve known for many, many years. To get a chance to get in and fight with them, it was a lot of fun,” he said.
“Plus getting a chance to meet Terry Crews, who I hadn’t met before. And Jason Statham, whom I hadn’t met before. It was fun just to do that,” Norris added.
Word online has it Nicolas Cage, Harrison Ford and Clint Eastwood are being considered for the third film. They're not Chuck Norris but will do, obviously.
