Google Chrome 19 has just been pushed to the dev channel. But, as always, the update only covered Windows, Mac OS X and Linux, but not Google's own Chrome OS. Instead, Chromebook owners have received an update to Google Chrome 18 in the dev channel.
Chrome 18.0.1025.29, part of Chrome OS 1660.20.0, is available as an
update and should have already been downloaded and installed for most Chromebook owners.
While waiting for Chrome 19, the latest update comes with an updated Pepper version of the Flash Player plugin. It also brings some improvements to the video playback in the File Browser.
Of course, being a dev build, the latest release comes with some known issues. For example, users may find that they can't sign out, when using a proxy, in which case they have to power down or restart the machine, to be able to sign in as a different user.
