New applications have been released not too long ago for handsets running under Microsoft's new Windows Phone 7 operating system, and more of them should become available in the not too far future as well.

Among those who were recently approved for the platform, we can count Chrome to Windows Phone 7, which should offer an easy way in which users can transfer links straight to their Windows Phone 7 devices.

Made available as version 1.1.0.0, the Chrome to WP7 app can be found in the Windows Phone Marketplace, while the necessary extension needed for the desktop browser can be found on Softpedia too, via this link.

“Chrome to Windows Phone 7 provides an easy way to transfer links and selected text from the Chrome web browser to your Windows Phone,” the application, developed by Dave Amenta, is described.

“Install the Chrome extension [...], then simply click the toolbar button to immediately push links and text to your phone.”

The 1.1 version of the application also comes with a bug fix, “for 'Client not found' when push notifications are not working, or are disabled.”

As stated above, while this app was already included in the Marketplace, others are only in the development phase at the moment, and should make an appearance on the platform in the not too far future.

Among them, we can count Opera Link for WP7, which should provide users with a mobile solution to access all of their data on Opera Link.

“A Windows Phone 7 client for all your data on Opera Link. Access your bookmarks, speeddial and notes. [...] This application lets you access all your data stored in Opera Link on your Windows Phone 7 device,” Martin Rauscher, the app's developer, notes on GitHub.

According to a post on his blog on My Opera, the application “works reliably and has made its way into the marketplace,” but we were not able to find it there at the time of this article.
