Google has just announced that it has released a new stable version of its Chrome browser for Android devices, which brings some fixes and performance improvements.

According to the official changelog, developers have fixed an issue with WebAudio pages, which crashed on some devices. In addition, a problem with fonts on some Android phones and tablets has been addressed as well.

It looks like most Japanese websites were appearing in inappropriate fonts on Android, but with the latest update, users will not experience this issue anymore.

Last but not least, Google has added improved scrolling responsiveness and visual indication when reaching the end of a page, along with some startup performance and stability improvements.

Chrome 29.0.1547.72 is now available as a free download via Google Play Store and it should be fully compatible with all devices running Android 4.0 and up.
