The latest release for Google’s browser does not feature major modifications. However, the V8 JavaScript engine has been updated to version 3.5.10.24 it has been strengthened with a fresh security fix.

The vulnerability patched dealt with out-of-bounds writen in Chrome’s JavaScript engine, V8. Among the threats presented by this crack, there is corruption of sensitive data, browser crash or even code execution.

Chrome 15.0.874.121 also brings to the table a fix to a regression in which an SVG element within an iframe would not have the specified dimensions after setting up its width and height. Instead, the element would take up the maximum amount of space in the iframe.

The issue has been fixed on both Windows 7 and Linux. On Mac devices the problem would not occur.
