Following today’s update of Adobe Flash Player, Google released a new Chrome stable version, bringing it to 14.0.835.202 for Windows, Mac and Linux.

The changes are not numerous, with the new Flash Player leading the list. However, the latest Chrome shows improvements as far as security and stability are concerned. Several high risk vulnerabilities have been fixed, and a critical one, which refers to memory corruption in shader translator.

The money spent by Google patching up this version amounts to $10,000 (7,532 Euros), Sergey Glazunov raking most of it, $8,000 (6,025 Euros), more than half being awarded for use-after-free vulnerability in V8 bindings.

Another use-after-free vulnerability fix was also addressed, this time for in text line box handling. Other fixes include memory corruption with V8 hidden objects and inappropriate cross-origin access to the window prototype.

Earlier today, Google updated the Dev release, which sees a new JavaScript engine and stability issues.
