As I’ve told you earlier today, Google has launched a new developer version of Chrome that comes with quite a lot of improvements on Windows 8, providing adopters of Microsoft’s latest OS with an experimental build of its Chrome OS.
As you can see in all these screenshots, the Metro port of Chrome has evolved a lot lately, so it’s no longer just a basic browser with a simple screen, but more of an advanced app providing Windows 8 users launching the app in the Modern UI with all options found on the desktop.
Chrome seems to be quite fast when used on Windows 8.1 and its touch-optimized features make it quite a great app for tablets running Microsoft’s new OS.
Keep in mind that it’s still an early development build, so occasional bugs might still be discovered. No Windows RT is offered at this point.
