The progress on Google Chrome continues, with the release of build 19.0.1055.1 for the dev channel. Available for all supported platforms, Windows, Mac, Linux and Chrome Frame, the new revision features an updated JavaScript engine (V8 3.9.11.0) and a set of stability fixes.

The V8 comes with a modification that makes “module” a context sensitive keyword.

Chrome Dev 19.0.1055.1 introduces UI for policy-controlled extensions and fixes an issue with floating GTK panels when they go in and out of overflow.

Some aesthetic changes as far as the “new tab” button is concerned have also been made. Viewing the latter in Aero mode on Windows would be quite tough, so in the new release the border is much clearer. As you can see in the image gallery below, the new look is a much better alternative.
