Google has just announced that a new version of Chrome for Android devices has just been released on Google Play Store. Keep in mind though that this is the beta version of Chrome, thus it most certainly has bugs and issues.

Those who are not into this kind of software testing may want to use the stable version of Chrome, which is starting to shape up nicely after the last couple of updates.

Anyway, the latest version of Chrome Beta for Android comes with a handful of bug fixes and a short list of known issues that, hopefully, will be addressed in future updates. The following changes have been included in the newest iteration of Chrome Beta for Android:

- 308072: Japanese characters garbled with Reduce Data Usage turned On; - 297839: Launching Chrome with a URL when first run hasn't yet been run puts Tab with URL in background; - 307796: Page is not reloaded if renderer died when Chrome is in the background.

As we have mentioned, some known issues are still plaguing this build, such as the ones detailed below:

- 306213: Youtube audio keeps playing on returning from video playing in fullscreen; - 306226: Youtube fullscreen videos are not playing until tapping the play icon; - 286260: Other devices page is displayed instead of new NTP in tab switcher mode + opening/closing the nNTP; - 307773: Signing-in to Chrome from settings with an account with passphrase doesn't ask user for passphrase.

Android users who download the beta version of Chrome for the first time are advised to send their feedback, so devs can offer fixes for any possible issues uncovered during testing.

You can now download Chrome Beta 31.0.1650.32 for Android for free via Softpedia. Keep in mind that the application should be fully compatible with all devices running Android 4.0 and up.
