The Chrome stable channel has gotten a major version update, to Chrome 21, and with it came a long list of security vulnerabilities being patched. A bit surprising, or encouraging perhaps, there were only two vulnerabilities that were deemed worthy of earning their discoverer any money.

Those two vulnerabilities were only deemed as "High" on the threat scale. In fact, there was only one "Critical" vulnerability, the most dangerous kind, patched in the first Chrome 21 stable release one that only affected the Linux version and was discovered by Google's own Security Team.

Overall, 15 vulnerabilities have been patched. Chrome users should be sleeping sounder knowing that these potential threats have been neutralized, but the war is never over and new vulnerabilities always creep in especially in software projects this size.
