The popular Chrome web browser from Google has been updated specifically for the Mac, adding support for the as-of-yet unreleased Mac OS X 10.8, and an updated Flash component.

A quick memo over at the Stable channel reveals that Chrome for Mac has been updated to version 19.0.1084.56 (never quite got the numbering scheme, but I’m sure someone will explain it to me in the comments), and that “this build contains a new version of Flash Player (11.3), in addition to more patches to support transitioning to OSX Mountain Lion.”

Mountain Lion is Apple’s ninth major desktop release for the Mac. Previewed at San Francisco’s Moscone West yesterday, the new cat would jump into the Mac App Store next month, the Cupertino company said.
