It's only been a couple of days since Google Chrome 17 Beta debuted on Chromebooks, but Google is already putting out an update.
Perhaps the reason why Chrome releases for Chromebooks are always behind the desktop ones is that it's a more complex platform or simply because more issues arise.
The first update to the
Chrome 17 beta has been released precisely because of that, to fix several stability issues but comes with some UI tweaks and fixes as well.
Google Chrome 17.0.963.33 has been pushed through the Beta channel update mechanism. It's part of Chrome OS 1412.87 and 1412.88 respectively, for Samsung Series 5 and Cr-48 Chromebooks. Acer Chromebooks don't seem to have been affected by the issues.
The update should be pushed and installed for these Chromebooks momentarily if it hasn't landed already.
