Zack Snyder’s Superman film is said to include super nerdy and awesome Easter Egg

In a special featurette called “The Sound of Man of Steel,” Superman fans learned that sound editors included an Easter Egg in it by replicating a sound heard in the original films with Christopher Reeve. The GIF below is meant to show you that the surprises don’t really stop here.

For months before the film came out in theaters there was lots of speculation as to how Snyder had decided to include a tribute to the late actor by having his face CGI’d into the film.

According to reddit user TareXmd, this is precisely what he did – and the GIF is proof. The photo above is believed to be of Reeve, whose face was superimposed over Cavill’s in one particular scene, for just a split second.

I can’t tell whether it’s because of the fog or the angle of the shot, but it’s pretty clear that Superman’s face looks different for an instant.

If it’s true and what we’re seeing is a tribute to Reeve, kudos to Snyder for paying homage to the franchise that made his movie possible.

If it’s not… imagine how cool it would have been if Snyder had thought of it?
