Christina Ricci is officially off the market: the pint-sized actress, who announced she was engaged to James Heerdegen in February this year, tied the knot in a secret and intimate ceremony held in Manhattan, it has emerged.

The Daily Mail has the first details (but no photos, as of now) about the ceremony and the reception afterwards, and reveals that Ricci wore a splendid Givenchy haute couture dress. She’s always been a fashionista so we can only imagine how gorgeous she must have looked.

The happy couple exchanged “I Do”s and partied with family and friends afterwards at the Harold Pratt House and Peterson Hall in Upper East Side Manhattan, the British tab writes.

“According to reports, the actress looked stunning in a high neck white silk tulle Givenchy haute couture gown featuring Chantilly lace appliqué and satin piping. Embroidered micro pearls covered the gown's full-length sleeves, while a long train added some drama,” the report says.

To make sure everyone’s attention was focused on the dress, Ricci opted for a more conservative hairstyle, with a side bun. She also had a veil of white tulle, which had “matching Chantilly lace appliqué.”

“Once the formalities were out of the way, guests enjoyed a cocktail hour before joining the new Mr. and Mrs. Heerdegen for dinner and dessert. It is said the couple chose to forgo the traditional first dance, though there was plenty of dancing to be had by everyone during the evening's festivities,” the Mail says.

Besides dessert, guests also had a candy bar at their disposal.

When Christina and James announced the engagement, they did not mention a possible wedding date although, from what she later told the press, she was itching to walk down the aisle. The reason why she didn’t reveal the date is that she wanted the important event to take place without hassle from the paparazzi and the weeklies, we assume.
