Fashion can be quite a tricky thing if you have the kind of curves that Christina Hendricks of “Mad Men” has been blessed with. The actress, now gracing the cover of Lucky magazine, opens up about her favorite designers and which is her least favorite clothing item in the world.

Ever since she broke on the scene, Hendricks has been hailed as a role model for all curvy women, the ultimate curvaceous lady that can put size 0 girls and women in a corner of shade.

While she’s always been very happy with her body, embracing it curves and all, Christina says her blessing can sometimes turn into a curse.

Of course, like most women out there, she has to make sure she dresses right for her body shape, emphasizing her strong suits and diverting attention from whatever flaws she may have.

“I have to be careful about my proportions and keep it simple. What works for me is structure and something that shows my waist,” the gorgeous actress tells Lucky.

What doesn’t work for Christina, though, is any bathing suit she may find in stores, which is why she hates this item the most.

“It’s really hard to find a bathing suit if you have breasts. You either get smooshed down or there’s no support. My husband and I have sketched out designs,” she reveals.

She used to have the same problem on the red carpet as well, in the sense that she could hardly find a designer that would make a dress in her size.

As of late, though, since she’s started gaining in popularity, Christina has settled on a few favorites.

“Vivienne Westwood for drama, L’Wren Scott for her perfect tailoring and body consciousness and Zac Posen for whimsy,” she says of her go-to designers for red carpet ceremonies.

Also because she loves glamour and the old-school look, Christina dyes her naturally blonde hair red. She first asked her mother to make her a redhead when she was only 10, she recalls.
