Christina Hendricks Brings Her Dangerous Curves to Cosmopolitan UK

As a norm, Hollywood may favor skinny women but there's one deliciously curvy star who's always bound to get attention. Christina Hendricks graces the pages of the latest issue of Cosmopolitan UK in a spread that should confirm once more that, when it comes to hourglass figures, she has the best in the industry.

The latest issue of the mag doesn't just bring a stunning photospread of the red-headed star, but also an interview with her on what makes her tick: love, her husband and, of course, how she feels about this whole frenzy around her insane body.

Speaking of her figure, Hendricks says that body image is important but that it doesn't necessarily have to mean meeting nearly impossible beauty standards set by the world or, in her case, the film industry.

Beauty and being considered attractive must come from inside, she believes.

In other words, act like you're the most stunning woman on earth and chances are people will start perceiving you as one.

“Sexiness is about confidence and individuality. I can’t keep my eyes off the women you see in cities like London, New York and Paris – the way they carry themselves and put themselves together are always so unique,” Christina says, adding that it's “about being an individual and having conviction about what that is.”

Because she always knew that she was the exact opposite of what Hollywood asks from all its leading ladies, Christina never thought she'd come to be considered a “pinup,” a role model for so many women out there.

“It’s incredibly flattering and surprising, and I didn’t think for a second when I started Mad Men that people would talk about me as a pin up. My husband has a good laugh about it, of course,” she says of her image.

Speaking of her husband, Geoffrey Arend, Christina reveals that she was actually the one to pursue him, becoming smitten with him the moment she laid eyes on his at a public function – where he was running late.

Not only was she the one to make the first move, but she was also the first to say the L-word, which took Geoffrey by surprise and even got her thinking he might be so freaked out he could make a run for it.

Clearly, he didn't.
