When speaking about her upcoming album a while back, Christina Aguilera was saying what would best describe it would be a mix of various genres and sounds, due both to the different collaborators on board and her desire to push the envelope. If anything, the title track “Bionic,” which was leaked online only shortly ago, is the perfect example of how on the album XTina is experimenting with her voice, ToyazWorld says.

Only a couple of days ago, snippets for three news songs included on “Bionic” made their way online – they are no longer available for listen. Among them was also “Bionic” the song, of which fans said it would have made a far better first single than the one Christina chose, “Not Myself Tonight.” Though somewhat slower paced than the official single, “Bionic” is a powerful combination of hooks and Christina’s impressive vocals, which literally makes of it an earworm by all definitions.

“Christina Aguilera’s ‘Bionic’ has leaked in full. The cut is taken from her upcoming new album ‘Bionic’, which is scheduled to hit stores on June 8th. ‘Gonna get you with my electronic, supersonic rocket!’ The Hip-Pop sounding cut is very Santigold-influenced and consists of an electro backing. I’m not crazy about it to be honest but I do think it would have made a far better lead single than ‘Not Myself Tonight’. What’s more important is that this particular song has a chorus and it’s different for Christina. It’s definitely a grower,” the aforementioned music-oriented e-zine writes.

In fact, based on the bits and pieces fans have heard of “Bionic” the album so far, “different” is clearly key word for it. Not only does it have a powerful, Aguilera-like ballad in “You Lost Me,” but it also includes funky tracks like “Not Myself Tonight” and “Bionic,” which you can check out in the video embedded at the end of the article. The album, out on June 8, is Christina’s coming to terms with the many sides of her personal life (wife, mother and singer), and becoming artistically creative again by using this as a starting point, she was saying a while back.

“To capture all of these characteristics I chose to collaborate with a variety of artists and producers across different musical genres. […] It also allowed me to push personal boundaries and explore what is possible for my future and me as an artist. You will find on this album songs that represent the many sides of me. I have learned that like all women I am sometimes capable of being superhuman. Like all women I am BIONIC…” Christina said back at the beginning of last month.
