Christina Aguilera’s diva reputation continues to precede her, despite several attempts to prove to the world that she’s nice. The 34-year-old star celebrated her most recent birthday with friends, on a trip to “the happiest place on earth,” and it ended with a huge scene between Christina and Mickey Mouse.

Apparently, Mickey wanted to take his lunch break and Christina couldn’t accept that someone, anyone could tell her “no” when she asked for a photo.

Report claims Christina is a nasty piece of work

Rumors about Christina’s diva attitude problem have been around for years, painting the singer as one of the most disagreeable and nastiest pieces of work around in showbiz. For showbiz, that’s saying a lot!

Today we have another report that seems to corroborate that: TMZ claims to have it on good authority that Christina threw a major hissy fit at Disneyland in California, where she went to celebrate her birthday, when she asked for a photo with Mickey Mouse and got shut down.

She wasn’t technically shut down, but she perceived it as a refusal nonetheless: Mickey Mouse told her that he was going on a break and that she and her friends had to wait until they got their picture taken with him.

This enraged the singer and she launched a verbal attack against the poor guy costumed as the cartoon character, even calling him an “[expletive]-hole” because he didn’t recognize her for the star that she was, thus delaying his break for a few minutes to snap a photo with her.

Yes, Christina did try to pull the “Don’t you know who I am?” card from her pocket, but to little success: Mickey either didn’t know or he didn’t care, because he didn’t linger around for the photo.

Things almost became violent, the report says: because no one turns their back on Christina, her friends “started hurling threats” so Mickey Mouse had to be escorted to “a safe zone” and security was called. By the time they got there, Christina and her entourage had already left.

The photo below was posted to her Twitter shortly afterwards. Mickey Mouse is notably absent.

Christina Aguilera, the diva

As noted above, Christina has always had the reputation of a diva, so at this point in time, she might as well stop trying to fight the rumors – unless, of course, they’re false.

Whether she’s snubbing Justin Bieber on national TV, picking fights with Lady Gaga, or generally acting as if she’s better than regular “mortals,” the singer is said to be nasty and mean and rude to anyone who crosses her path and she doesn’t like it.

More recently, actress Valerie Bertinelli explained their “feud” by recounting a backstage meeting they had, when Aguilera was not “nice” at all, acting as if she was the hottest thing since sliced bread. When you have a celebrity, no matter how far down the food chain they might be, speak negatively of you, there’s really no sense in trying to deny your diva reputation.
