14 DAY TRIAL // Millions of girls would kill to have the chance to shake hands and get a hug from Justin Bieber but, judging by how Christina Aguilera reacted on the latest show of The Voice, she's not among them and doesn't have the Bieber Fever.
The Biebs was on the show the other night to drum up publicity on his upcoming single and album, for which he announced a summer release date.
He also accepted an invitation to perform the “Boyfriend” single on the finale in three weeks' time.
As Justin was leaving the stage, he went over to the judges to say goodbye: a very courteous thing to do, as the video below will confirm.
He shook hands with Adam Levine (with whom he had cracked a few jokes before about a project for a boyband they wanted to start, but which never came to fruition) and Cee Lo Green.
When he was in front of Christina, she stretched out her hand, as if expecting to get a shake as well – but Justin had clearly planned to plant a kiss on her cheek.
The moment was a bit awkward – but it got even more so when Christina put on a “diva face” after she got the peck on the cheek from Justin, discarding the smile and giving him the side eye.
As the segment aired and word of the “diss” started spreading online, furious fans took to Twitter to say Aguilera was hating on Bieber for no reason than that she was mean.
Others claimed she had “disrespected” him by acting like he wasn't even worth her time.
Whatever words they chose to voice their shock and displeasure, they all agreed that Aguilera had a bone to pick with Justin, but no one knew how that might have come to be.
As far as Christina is concerned, though, people need to chill and stop blowing things out of proportions.
“Haha! The media loves spinning stories… Can't a girl have a little #BieberFever after getting kissed by the Biebs?” Christina wrote on her Twitter page as the storm threatened to completely take over the social networking site.
