After an entire week of teasers and dropping hints, fans can finally see the full video for Christina Aguilera’s first single off the upcoming “Bionic” album, “Not Myself Tonight.” Directed by Hype Williams, who also helmed Lady Gaga’s “Telephone,” the video sees Xtina (who is again using this name) going back to her “Dirrty” roots – literally.

In short, to sum up what fans and celebrity bloggers are already saying online on dedicated forums, don’t expect to see this video playing on any music channel during daytime, if that’s not too subtle a reference. As the lyrics also indicate, this is Christina at her dirtiest and most daring, regardless of color, gender or preference. This also makes it impossible for us to embed the video, so follow the link at the end of the article to check it out.

Among the most notable influences noted at a first glance in the video – and highlighted by fans and not only – we can list Madonna, with both “Like a Prayer” and “Express Yourself,” but also Lady Gaga. In fact, some commenters even say that the entire “Not Myself Tonight” vid is a major ripoff of other artists, most notably Gaga, to whom Christina has been repeatedly compared these past few weeks. Others profess to be disappointed in the video, saying it begs for attention by pushing all the wrong buttons and that Aguilera is trying too hard, and it shows.

Of course, that’s the empty half of the glass, for there are also millions of fans who positively love the video and see it as the clearest indication that the diva is back – and out to make a killing with her upcoming album. While “Not Myself Tonight” was released on radio a short while ago, the album is still to come, being scheduled for release on June 8. No word yet on whether music channels will play the new video or whether Christina plans to take the Internet route.

A post on her website would certainly seem to indicate that, announcing all the major websites that will premiere the video today, Friday, April 30 in countries around the world. In the meantime, you can see it here. *Discretion is recommended.
