Christina Aguilera may have had a rough year but she’s back at the top of the game, mostly thanks to landing the position of judge / mentor on NBC’s newly launched The Voice. Not only has the show put her in the spotlight again, but it’s also making her a much richer woman, it has emerged.

Salaries for this type of jobs are not made public by producers or the networks carrying the shows, but that’s not to say that word of the money celebrities stand to make doesn’t get out there.

PopEater, for instance, reports that Aguilera is making bank on The Voice, making an estimated $225,000 for each episode.

Considering that the show has just launched this year and there were some doubts it would pick up and last for an entire season, Christina’s salary is no trifle.

“Aguilera reportedly earns a staggering $225,000 per episode. Yup. That means the singer makes 2.25x the amount of the future winner of the show’s $100,000 prize – every episode,” PopEater reports.

“So in just eight episodes, Aguilera has grossed $1,800,000 since the show’s April 26 premiere. Not too shabby for a month-and-a-half of work!” the e-zine points out.

The other three coaches on the panel are also cashing in on the show, but they don’t even come close to the kind of money Christina makes.

“Aguilera’s co-stars Cee Lo Green, Adam Levine and Blake Shelton only make $75,000 per episode, which is no doubt an enviable paycheck, but it means that Xtina makes $150K more per episode than her male colleagues,” PopEater underlines.

Even so, Aguilera’s is not the most outrageous salary in television, on a show of this type, right now. As we also noted yesterday, Jennifer Lopez reportedly made $12 million for a single season of American Idol.

What’s even better, to return, she’s believed to have asked producers to pay her no less than $23 million for another year, which is what Simon Cowell was also paid before he left the show to launch the US version of his X Factor.
