Singer Christina Aguilera may soon become the next Britney Spears or Lindsay Lohan in terms of coverage of her drunken antics if she doesn’t seek help. At least, that’s what people in Hollywood are saying, claims a new report.
At the Golden Globes 2011, Aguilera is said to have behaved very badly,
picking a fight with dancer and country singer Julianne Hough for reasons that remain unknown to this day.
Before that, she reportedly
passed out in Jeremy Renner’s bed at his 40th birthday bash. Since divorce and in between these two incidents, talk of how she’s “boozing it up” has never ceased to make the rounds.
E! Online is now saying that this could be the first step towards her fall. Much like Britney Spears and Lindsay Lohan before her, Aguilera is letting personal issues get the best of her – and she’s getting bad media for how she’s handling it all.
Granted, this is only speculation at this point – but not few are those who are very much inclined to believe what this report is saying, if only on the grounds that there is never smoke without a fire.
“Choosing what you want to believe, we must say Xtina has been looking a little worse for wear since her divorce. Uh, does this remind you of any other pop tart?” Ted Casablanca of E!’s Awful Truth asks.
“Now, Christina seems to just be entering this Stage 1 and having some tipsy nights. But by the stories getting passed around Hollywood, many industry folks are whispering she’s going down ‘the Britney Spears path’,” Casablanca argues.
“It’s adjacent to ‘the Lindsay Lohan route,’ too. Reading through the comments yesterday, almost half of you defended Xtina saying we’ve all been there. Sure, most people have on occasion. Unfortunately, this boozy behavior is supposedly becoming a pattern,” he says.
If anything, the report that Aguilera verbally assaulted and even tried to physically harm Hough at some fancy Globes party should be an indication that something is wrong, even if the problem is not as serious as Casablanca makes it look.
