14 DAY TRIAL // Most women half her age wouldn’t dare to pose in a swimsuit for the cover of People Magazine, but Christie Brinkley is not your average woman. The supermodel is about to turn 60 years old, but she can still rock a bikini like no other.
The latest cover of the celebrity publication features Brinkley in a baby blue one-piece, with the promise that the inside article will bring all the details of her workout routine and diet, which have helped her stay in such an amazing shape.
“I'm actually excited about turning 60. I feel on top of my game,” the star reveals for the publication.
She feels in such good shape that she might have actually been tempted to don an even riskier swimsuit for the shoot, but she thought of her children when opting for something less revealing.
“My kids would be so embarrassed! In private I may wear a bikini, but at the public beach with my kids I would change bathing suits because they do not want to be hanging out with some old broad in a bikini,” she tells the magazine.
Christie says she invests a lot of time and effort into staying in the best shape possible because, as she puts it, “I have a responsibility to my kids as well as myself. I want to be there for them.” Looking this flawless is just a bonus, we imagine.
The preview issue of People doesn’t offer more details into her routine, but promises that the big reveal will be included in the print issue, which comes out this Friday. Christie Brinkley will be featured in the NBC special Sports Illustrated: 50 Years of Beautiful, which will celebrate the anniversary of the magazine by having a look at its most popular cover girls throughout the years.
