“If you can't walk in them, don't wear them,” says famous designer

Louboutin shoes (the real thing, not cheap fakes) are considered a smart investment and, by every respectable fashionista, a closet staple. They're gorgeous, but also very expensive and hard to walk in, but don't expect any sympathy from the designer.

Assuming you have the (financial) possibility to purchase a pair of the much-coveted red-sole shoes, you shouldn't expect to find walking in them an easy experience.

On the contrary, actually. However, Louboutin himself has no sympathy for you because he believes high heels are meant to combine pleasure and pain, as he says in a recent interview with Grazia magazine.

“I really have not so much sympathy,” he says, when asked how he feels about the pains (and health complications) women experience when they wear his creations.

Of course, walking in such high heels is difficult but, as long as it's not impossible, it's every woman's choice, so there's no reason he should feel responsible for it.

“If Tina Turner and Prince's back-up band can perform on stage in them for three hours, you can't tell me they are impossible to walk in,” the French designer explains.

“High heels are pleasure with pain. If you can't walk in them, don't wear them,” Louboutin adds.

In the same interview, the designer reveals the two people in the world he'd love to create a pair for – and, trust us, it's not who you believe.

“If I could do shoes for anyone it would be a special project for the Queen of England. She and the Pope are the ultimate clients,” Louboutin says.

Even though experts often warn women of the dangers of such high heels as those on Louboutins, which include spine problems and other complications, nothing can stand in the way of a lady getting her hand on a pair.

Celebrities also love them to death, and this is probably part of the reason why they're so popular, with excellent craftsmanship being the other.

Victoria Beckham, for one, is rarely seen without her Louboutin heels on, while Beyonce is said to love the brand so much she's even ordered custom-made mini-Louboutins for her daughter Blue Ivy, who was born earlier this year.
