Chris Pratt was the most surprising breakthrough star of 2014, thanks to his role in Marvel’s “Guardians of the Galaxy.” He will be seen next in another big-budget film that might span a new franchise, the “Jurassic Park” reboot, and Disney thinks he’s the man to go to to carry another iconic franchise.

Deadline reports that Disney, which acquired the rights for “Indiana Jones” from Paramount Pictures in 2013, is looking to reboot it as soon as possible, and that they’re looking at Pratt as the next Harrison Ford.

Again, the plan is in the “very early” stages of development, but apparently, studio bosses believe that he has the right type of charisma that would make this worthwhile, especially after the disappointment of the last installment, which introduced Shia LaBeouf as the potential new leading man and was a disaster by all accounts.

So far, Disney bosses are right: Pratt could be perfect as the next Indiana Jones, because he’s funny and witty, he’s handsome and ripped, he can do physically demanding roles, and he can also be serious when the situation requires it.

Judging by his interviews when promoting “Guardians,” he isn’t adverse to doing insane amounts of press to promote his films and is grateful for the exposure. Even with “Jurassic Park” coming up, he might still agree to do even more press for “Indiana Jones,” which would come later down the line.

He’s charming both on and off screen, and already has a huge following. If Disney decides to keep him as the next Indiana Jones, they wouldn’t be making a bad decision. Would they?
