Before the big game last Sunday, the Super Bowl 2015, two of Marvel’s biggest stars, Chris Pratt and Chris Evans, aka Star-Lord from “Guardians of the Galaxy” and Captain America from “Avengers” and “Captain America,” made a little wager online as to which team would win.

Pratt is a Seahawks fan, while Evans was rooting for the Pats. The bet said that whoever lost would pay a visit in character to the other’s favorite charity and do his best to bring awareness to it and thus raise more money.

Evans won.

Chris Pratt, Evans visit Boston center

As promised, Chris Pratt put on his Star-Lord costume, which he must have borrowed from the movie set (unless he was given one to keep, precisely for this type of occasions), and went to Boston to visit Christopher’s Haven, a center that provides housing for children who are receiving cancer treatment and their families.

Chris Pratt is a man of his word, and if you know anything about him, you know that this isn’t the first time he dresses up as his character to put a smile on sick children’s faces.

He also brought with him toys to hand out to kids and happily posed for photos with them and their parents. Some of these pics are now available on his Facebook page, but you can also find one attached to this article.

Perhaps better than bringing toys, Pratt brought his friend Chris Evans with him. The only thing that would have made this visit more special was if Evans too had showed up in his Captain America getup.

On the other hand, he will get the chance to put it on soon, because word has it he plans to visit Pratt’s charity too, a Seattle children’s hospital, even though that was not part of their Super Bowl wager.

Chris Pratt, the biggest breakout star of 2014

Some celebrities do this type of charity appearances only because it helps them maintain a good image, but we doubt that’s the case with these two.

As Marvel actors, these two have had more than a fair share of success with their movies, which must translate into a very steady and considerable source of revenue.

Chris Pratt, for one, was the biggest breakout star of 2014 and it was all because of his role as Star-Lord in “Guardians of the Galaxy,” which is based on such an obscure Marvel comics that no one actually believed it would be a smashing hit.

“Guardians” wasn’t just a box office hit, it was the best-selling movie of the year. The gig landed Pratt even more leading roles, including the “Jurassic Park” reboot, “Jurassic World,” which comes out in June and will probably launch a new franchise.

It also got him on the shortlist for a planned “Indiana Jones” reboot.
