The next blockbuster to open in theaters will usher in the summer releases from all the major studios: from director Colin Trevorrow and producer Steven Spielberg, we will get “Jurassic World,” with Chris Pratt as the male lead. He’s already promoting the movie, but the press tour is bound to pick up considerable speed in the next few days.

Within a few more days, packed with interview after interview, Pratt will have already exhausted all possible topics of conversations and will have started to repeat himself. Chances are he might even say something offensive, either because he really is that “dumb” or as a failed attempt to lift the mood.

For that, whatever it might turn out to be, Chris is sorry. And he’s apologizing in advance.

Chris Pratt is sorry for saying anything you might take offense with

The press tour for the latest “Avengers: Age of Ultron” from Marvel is a good example of how these press junkets can provide celebrity pundits and the tabloids with just the juicy bit needed for a scandalous story.

Jeremy Renner and Chris Evans learned this the hard way, but so did Robert Downey Jr. The outrage was considerably bigger with Renner and Evans, who were even forced to apologize publicly after the fact.

In case you didn’t know, Evans and Pratt are actually best buds. Pratt is also a Marvel property since starring in “Guardians of the Galaxy,” which propelled him to international movie star status (and salary), and helped him distance himself from his previous goofy and chubby image.

In other words, he knows what can happen when you speak out of line, regardless of whether you do it out of a desire to amuse or because you’re ignorant.

Available below are 2 messages from Pratt to his fans, posted to his official Facebook: in the first one, he apologizes for anything he might say that’s deemed offensive, humorously making sure his apology includes absolutely every remark he might make that would be considered that.

He also takes full responsibility for whatever it is: he’s “dumb” and he’s eager to please, and the two might end up working against him.

“Jurassic World” is an amazing movie, by the way

In the second message, Pratt speaks only of “Jurassic World,” which he just got the chance to see completed. He says the film is more than just your regular Hollywood reboot, in that it’s the right blend of impressive visuals and CGI, a good story and solid acting.

He apologizes once more, this time for becoming repetitive or annoying during the upcoming press tour, urging fans who might find him either of these two to just tune him out and see the movie.

“Jurassic World” also stars Bryce Dallas Howard, Judy Greer and Ty Simpkins, and will be out in both 2D and 3D.
