Report: Chris Nolan and Christian Bale will bring Batman back to life again in “Justice League” movie

“The Dark Knight Rises” was supposed to be Chris Nolan and Christian Bale’s final Batman adventure but, according to a new report, fans should expect to see the two working together on the project again – on “Justice League” no less.

Word online has it that Nolan has agreed to produce the film, while Bale is already on board to reprise the role of the caped crusader for it.

If any of this is true, it’s confirmation of rumors that have been making the rounds since before TDKR came out in theaters: namely that Warner Bros. wants Nolan to do “Justice League” so that he can have a say in the way Batman will be portrayed in the reboot they’re planning.

Nolan himself won’t be involved in any of the future Batman films but, by producing “Justice League,” he can make sure whoever the studio will pick for the job will have at least some guidelines from him.

“There's a major scoop coming from ‘Justice League.’ According Latino-Review's El Mayimbe, ‘The Dark Knight’ helmer Christopher Nolan will be producing the long-delayed project with Christian Bale possibly reprising his role as the Caped Crusader and Zack Snyder serving as the director,” AceShowbiz writes.

Nolan and Snyder have already worked together on “Man of Steel,” which will be coming out this year and is already getting solid reviews from early screenings.

“So like with Man of Steel, [Nolan's] going to be involved with godfathering/producing while Zack Snyder will be co-producing and will possibly be the director,” an insider says.

“They're shaping this as a vehicle for Christian Bale to reprise his role as Batman and join Henry Cavill's Superman in the Justice League movie,” the tipster further says.

“Christopher Nolan has completely taken over the DCU at Warner Bros. Anything having to do with these superheroes, goes through him now,” adds the same spy.

While this would be amazing news (if true), we would recommend taking the report with a grain of salt, especially since, in the past, Nolan himself denied any involvement with the “Justice League” project and / or other Batman films, saying that this chapter of his life was closed for good.

As they say though, hope dies last.
