Despite constant reports that their marriage was in trouble, Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin proved haters wrong for 10 full years. Last March came the unexpected announcement that they had started to “consciously uncouple” because they no longer made any sense together.

The divorce proceedings were handled with the utmost discretion, to the point where the tabloids got wind of zero dirt on the split. At the same time, Chris and Gwyneth continued to spend a lot of time together, acting like excellent friends and not just as soon-to-be-exes doing it for the sake of the children.

Then, by May, there were countless rumors saying that they might not go through with the divorce at all. They picked up considerable speed in June, when they were photographed together on romantic lunches or dinners, and the photos emerged on social media.

Page Six is now saying that Chris has gone back to Gwyneth for good. They seem to be living together in the Hamptons, the place where the Oscar-winning actress usually retires for about 5 weeks each year during the summer, to recharge her batteries.

Of course, Chris and Gwyneth’s two children are also there with them.

“Chris and Gwyneth dined with their children at Bay Kitchen Bar on Monday evening‎ in East Hampton. Then on Tuesday, Chris dropped into sports store Gubbins to pick up skateboards before heading to meet Gwyneth and their kids Apple and Moses at nearby Fierro’s Pizza,” the report notes.

Adds an insider: “They were operating like a couple, and with the kids looked like a happy family.”

Various media outlets have been reporting for a few weeks now that the divorce is off, at least for the time being. Apparently, right after they announced the separation and then proceeded to go through the actual process of not living together anymore, both stars realized what they stood to lose.

In many ways, taking this break from each other has taken some of the pressure there was on them as a couple, and they’re now more willing to work on the relationship to make it work. Having had a taste of single life, they know now that they don’t want to be without each other.

Officially, Gwyneth is not saying anything on the topic just yet. Considering she was the one to announce the split on her Goop page in March, it’s safe to assume she will also confirm the reconciliation when and if she feels certain that the relationship is strong enough.
