And it's the standard by which Coldplay frontman Chris Martin has been living for years, while trapped in his marriage to actress Gwyneth Paltrow, who has always been keen to live a sophisticated life. Apparently, one tires to keep up appearances all the time.
Late last week, it had emerged that Chris Martin had found solace and happiness in the arms of actress Jennifer Lawrence, who was also recently single after breaking things off for a second time with Nicholas Hoult.
Now, The Sun is claiming that Jennifer and Martin have been “quietly dating” since June and Martin is loving every minute of it because Jennifer is so different from his estranged wife. Among the things that he likes about her is the fact that she's unpretentious, a smoker and a consumer of junk food such as pizza.
Says one insider, “Chris feels he's dating someone who has everything he's been missing out on in the past 11 years. Jennifer doesn't take herself too seriously and when she is not filming she just wants to hang out and have a good time.”
True to the old saying that a little bit of young blood does wonders, the 24-year-old actress is said to have given the 37-year-old musician and father of two “a new lease of life.” Reports from deep inside the new couple's life mention the fact that the two laugh non-stop when they are together.
On the opposite side, we have Gwyneth Paltrow who hasn't made it a secret that she enjoys healthy living and she's actually released her own site, Goop, in which she promotes said healthy lifestyle with tips, tricks and methods to keeping yourself young longer.
The only trouble is that because Gwyneth is a Hollywood A-lister and very pretentious, every one of her lifestyle tips ends up costing as much as a new small car. If you're pulling in millions from movie roles, it's going to be easy to keep up with her, otherwise you're going to find yourself strapped for cash pretty soon.
Both Chris and Jennifer seemed at the perfect moment in their lives to meet each other, since both have just gone through a breakup. Jennifer has lost her boyfriend Nicholas Hoult to the charms of Kristen Stewart, while Gwyneth has made a dash for TV producer Brad Falchuck soon after her “conscious uncoupling” from Martin.
