Chris Hemsworth, the actor famous for his role of the Marvel superhero Thor and his actress wife Elsa Pataky welcomed their twin boys this weekend, but the world has yet to set its eyes on the little bundles of joy that have already been affectionately named “the little Thors” by the press.

Since their birth in Los Angeles over the weekend, the couple has been oddly silent, but today we have official confirmation on the babies' names. It would seem that the proud parents have opted to call their sons Tristan and Sasha. Chris and Elsa were already the parents of baby girl India, who is at the moment 22 months old.

The twin pregnancy was first announced in November, when the Spanish beauty was already quite far off in her pregnancy. She also made a rather large commotion when she decided to show off her large baby bump at the Oscars and caught the eye of the fashion police which blasted her for her choice of wardrobe that seemed to accentuate her belly rather than hide it.

Elsa is obviously getting in that mothering mood as she's also just shared the first photo of the twins on her Instagram… sort of. In a blurry shot that reveals two sets of baby feet, the new mother gushes, “They are already home. Tristan and Sasha arrived in this world 18 March just after the full moon. Complete happiness!!”

There are no details about the birthing process, but news agencies already reported that Elsa was headed for the Los Angeles Cedars-Sinai Medical Center on Thursday, which means she spent a couple of days in the maternity ward.

As far as the origin of the names goes, Tristan is of Irish descent and is somehow connected with the word “noise,” whereas Sasha is a name found mostly in Central and Southern Europe and means “defender and helper of mankind.” That could be a reference to his father's on-screen portrayal of hunky superheroes.

Speaking about how they chose the name of India for their daughter, Chris said, “It was just a name we like. I always kind of liked Indie or Indiana for a boy and she like India. We sorta went, ‘Oh, well, whether it's a boy or a girl that will decide.’ It just seemed to fit.”

In a previous interview, Hemsworth admitted that parenthood changed him for the better, as it brought on the kid in him and “It puts things in perspective.”
