Up until today, it was pure speculation regarding Elsa Pataky's baby bump. But today, a representative for actor Chris Hemsworth has confirmed

what many in the media believed to be true: the acting couple is expecting twins.

Two baby girls are going to be born to the Pataky-Hemsworth couple, who were no doubt overjoyed at the news that their pregnancy was a double joy.

All the speculation regarding Pataky's baby bump was unofficially confirmed by her appearance at her husband's side over the weekend at the Golden Globes. At the event on Sunday night, Elsa wore a floor-long black dress and looked proud of her bump.

The “Thor” actor and the “Fast & Furious” actress first announced their pregnancy back in November. At the time, there was no mention of twins. The happy couple are already the proud parents of a baby girl named India Rose.

It's not known how welcoming a pair of twins to the family is going to affect both their careers, but Pataky was once quoted as saying that no matter how busy she and her famous husband are, family will always come first for them.

Pataky and Hemsworth recently came to media attention last month, when it was uncovered that the final kissing scene in the last Thor movie “The Dark World” was not between Hemsworth and leading lady Natalie Portman but between Chris and his wife.

Apparently, Natalie was unavailable for the reshoot, Elsa was present on the set and they needed someone to fill in for the love interest. The production team gave Elsa a wig to make her hair look like Portman's, they put her with the back to the camera and the rest is, as they say, cinematic history.

Portman was the one who let everyone in on the little secret, claiming this was the reason behind the intense chemistry oozing on screen from that scene. She credited Elsa with being a good replacement.
