14 DAY TRIAL // In today’s most surprising news, it has been revealed that R&B singer and often-controversial figure Chris Brown is the father of a 9-month-old baby girl. The mother’s name is Nia and she’s a former model who is believed to have known the star for several years now.
TMZ confirms that Chris is the father and also has the first photo of his baby girl. She looks just like him.
A very modern family
The news might come as a shock to the entire world, but it’s not a surprise for Chris, in the sense that this isn’t one of those cases when a woman comes out of the woodwork, years after the alleged fact, suing for millions and, most often than not, trying to get away with a shameless lie.
On the contrary, the celebrity publication reports: Chris has known about this all along and he is very involved in his daughter’s life even though he and Nia have not been romantically involved for some time.
As a matter of fact, for the past 4 years, he’s been dating Karrueche Tran on and off. After their most recent fight, which took a very nasty turn on social media, she stepped out wearing what looked like an engagement ring, and naturally, the rumor mill had them engaged.
We have no way of knowing if that’s true because they’re yet to say anything on the topic, but if true, this could be just one secret they’re keeping. Chris has also managed to keep this other important event in his life out of the media: the birth of his daughter.
“Sources connected to both Nia and Chris tell us they are on very good terms,” TMZ reports. “It does not appear there is a formal child support order in place - and we do not know the nature of any informal terms of support.”

Chris Brown doesn’t have the best reputation online: in 2009, he assaulted then-girlfriend Rihanna and beat her to a bloody pulp over a text he’d received on his phone and she insisted on seeing. He also threatened to throw her out of a speeding car, as per the police records.
Legally, Chris has done his part in making up for what he called a total lapse in judgment, and he’s also been going to anger management classes and counseling.
Of course, that doesn’t stop the jokes at his expense from making the rounds every once in a while. Just last month, when the Grammys 2015 took place, many people were outraged to see him among celebrity attendees, especially since the theme of the night was unofficially the importance of preventing domestic violence.
