Chris Brown is doing everything he can, and is told by his newly hired PR team, to clean up his image and regain at least part of the fanbase he had before he allegedly attacked girlfriend Rihanna on February 8. One first step towards getting that support and respect back is joining anger management classes, sources are telling the New York Daily News.

Following yesterday’s reports that an angry mob of Rihanna fans and high-placed connections was out to get Brown for what he did to his girlfriend, a new rumor pops up today saying that he is willing to show he knows the error of his ways by going into anger management. Moreover, this will also get angry fans off his back, it is further being said, while also helping him wedge his way back in the industry.

Brown attended the first class on Monday in Glendale, CA, with several sources claiming that he was planning on going to a couple more before his March 5 court date, when he will have to answer charges of making terrorist threats and domestic abuse. With all that, so-called friends of the 19-year-old singer are also speaking to the media, hinting that Rihanna too might need some similar therapy for her bad temper. “It didn’t help that Rihanna grabbed the keys out of his rented Lamborghini and threw them down the street. She knew it would really infuriate Chris, and it worked.” one such source explains for the aforementioned publication.

Whether Chris Brown will manage to win his way back in the good graces of the public is yet to be determined. In the meantime, though, he is reportedly also living in fear of his life, as he has started receiving death threats as soon as the police photo showing the injuries Rihanna sustained during the altercation was leaked on the Internet. Brown has upped the security around him and is now looking both ways before crossing a street, reports have it.

“Chris is scared. Not only did he probably lose his career and his girlfriend, but he’s also fearing for his security and his life.” a spy underlines for InTouch Weekly. “Chris is a marked man. He faces criminal charges and possible jail time, but he’s going to have to deal with Rihanna’s legion of fans and her close-knit friends in the industry. That photo was the last straw. The threats started pouring in the moment that appeared online.” the same magazine writes, citing yet another source, this time from the music industry.
