Chris Brown Impresses with Fiery Live Performance on DWTS

Though there were some doubts as to whether he was still on to perform on the first-ever live results show of the current season of Dancing With the Stars, Chris Brown did so – and killed it with a fiery, energetic set.

Last time he was on ABC, things didn’t end that well for Chris, as we also informed you a short while ago, since he lost his cool and thrashed his dressing room, tossing a chair through a window.

His anger was not unjustified, though: before that, he’d been “exploited” (his word, not ours) by GMA host Robin Roberts, who kept asking him about the Rihanna incident, when he was on the show to speak of his latest album, “F.A.M.E.”

Even so, there was some talk that DWTS producers were looking to avoid getting into any controversy and that they were consequently thinking of canceling his performance for the first live results show of the season.

Luckily, there was no truth to that rumor, as the New York Daily News reports in a piece recapping the latest show.

“Tuesday’s ‘Dancing’ also welcomed scandal-prone Chris Brown onto the dance floor, where the singer performed a rousing version of ‘Yeah 3X’ and a mashup of hit ‘Forever’ and new song ‘Beautiful People’,” the e-zine says.

The performance was truly something worth seeing, with Brown proving that he was, before everything, a dedicated entertainer.

“For ‘Yeah 3X,’ Brown donned a red suit and tumbled with his backup dancers, doing flips and kicks to a cheering audience,” the NY Daily News says.

This also excused the fact that he seemed to be lip-synching parts of the heavily auto-tuned track. After all, it’s impossible to do what he did and sing live as well, his fans are saying.

“His second performance drew just as much applause with an elaborate light show, ending with a dramatic spotlight on the singer, head bowed,” the e-zine says.
