He may be desperately trying to clear his name but it would seem that, no matter what he does, Chris Brown continues to court controversy. Just the other day, he managed to dodge a parking ticket while hurling a homophobic slur at the paparazzi.

TMZ has video of the incident: Brown erroneously assumed that the paparazzi had called the cops to give him a parking ticket just so they could film him.

The video shows his reaction to what he believes is the truth and it includes him calling the paparazzi “gay” for calling the police to give him a ticket.

Brown is then shown going over to the female police officer, hugging her, whispering a few things into her ear and then turning and heading back inside.

In other words, he managed to sweet talk his way out of a ticket, as TMZ also notes.

“Before sweet-talking the cop, Brown accused several cameramen of alerting parking enforcement officers that his car was illegally parked, ranting, ‘Y’all n**gas is weak. Did you all call them to try and film me? Y’ALL N**GAS IS GAY’,” TMZ writes of the incident.

Since this is not Brown’s first offense of the type and especially given his high profile, the Human Rights Campaign immediately fired off a statement blasting the singer, saying he should know better than to be tossing such slurs to the right and left.

“Invoking words meant to demean gay Americans is just plain unacceptable. Chris Brown should know better,” the group says in a statement for the aforementioned media outlet.

“He irresponsibly neglected to recognize the impact of his words and the unacceptable message that it sends to couple the word gay with negative actions,” the statement adds.

It didn’t take long for Brown too to take a stand on the matter and, while he’s not really apologizing, he does say he meant no harm by saying those things he said.

“I have total respect for Gay community and my intention was not to insult anyone in it,” the singer wrote on his Twitter page.

I guess it ok to use the N word but not gay. Stop it please, I'm black and the N word has no power over me so why do Homosexual get so offended when someone saids the word "GAY". Stop being so special.
