A report by Star Magazine claims the newly released from jail singer did not appreciate the fact that the DJ of a club he was attending started playing Rihanna on the house speakers.
The location is called “The Spot” and is described as a Los Angeles hookah lounge. Chris Brown was chilling there, celebrating his recent release from prison with a couple of friends, when things took a turn towards the dramatic.
An eyewitness reports that as soon as the house DJ began playing Rihanna songs, Chris Brown's attitude changed from laid back to nervous, and he was described as being on the verge of having a fit.
“Chris was in good spirits until Rihanna's song ‘Diamonds’ started playing. Suddenly, he was fuming, pacing around like he was about to start a fight!” the insider describes the scene. Keep in mind that Brown was arrested and subsequently jailed for assaulting Rihanna a few years ago.
Ever since then, the two haven't been on the best of terms, something which is understandable under the circumstances. Moreover, Chris Brown is known to have an anger management problem, so it's really not the smartest thing to try and make fun of him.
A man from Washington had the same idea last year when, back in October, decided it would be a good idea to allegedly photobomb the singer when he was trying to take a photo with some female fans. We don't need to tell you how that incident ended, just that Brown is due to appear before a judge in connection with that night, in which he was charged with assault.
The source added that as soon as the DJ began blasting Rihanna's “Diamonds” “things got pretty heated.” At that point, Brown stepped to his booth and told the guy to cut all of Rihanna's songs from the playlist.
As a response and a joke, the DJ started playing “Started from the Bottom,” a song performed by rapper Drake, who was Rihanna's boyfriend for a while until recently. This made Chris become “absolutely livid.”
People in the club thought that there was going to be a fight between the two, but we find out that “Thankfully, the DJ laughed and changed the song--but it did make a few good minutes of entertainment at Chris' expense!”
