“I can transform ya, I can transform ya/ Anything you want, I got it, I can get it for you/ You my baby girl, so you know I get it for you.” Brown sings on the Swizz Beatz-produced “I Can Transform Ya.” The track, a catchy up-tempo song about introducing a lady love interest to the high life, now also has an awesome video to go with it, directed by Joseph Kahn, a longtime collaborator of Brown’s.

As Kahn says for MTV, the idea behind the video was not to send a message different from the track, but to try to render in images the lyrics of the song. It also includes plenty of dancing, with Brown creating a dance routine especially for this video, and elements common to the so-called “boy culture,” including cars, Transformers and, of course, ninjas. The video for “I Can Transform Ya” also stands as proof that Brown, despite grabbing headlines in this past year for reasons separate from his career, is back with a bang.

And back he should be, Kahn tells MTV. At 20, this singer is one of the most talented individuals the director ever had the chance to work with. In fact, Chris Brown is so talented, he often finds himself having problems trying to capture all that talent on film. Still, “I Can Transform Ya” came out pretty good and is just the kind of video that Chris Brown should feel proud of making.

“I met with Chris when we were doing the ‘Drop It Low’ video, and he played me a couple tracks off his new album, and he already had a pretty clear idea of what he wanted out of ‘Transform Ya.’ And, obviously, him going in there and dancing and turning into cars and trucks is right up my alley. Look, Chris Brown is – I should flat out say it – is probably the most talented person I’ve ever worked with in my many years of doing music videos. His talent is phenomenal. Here’s a guy who can literally do anything.” Kahn says of working with Brown.

Among the many things that Brown can do is come up with just the moves that would best fit the feel of the entire video. “I would say it’s like a pure aesthetic dance video from the very fiber of it. Everything dances onscreen. Everything has movement. Everything has a certain mechanical rhythm. He actually created a dance style for this that is mechanical. It’s sort of a hyper-intense version of the robot. Even the transformations go directly in line with the movements.” the director further explains.

The result is a frenzy of motion and dance moves: below is the entire video for Chris Brown’s “I Can Transform Ya.” Watch and judge for yourselves.
