Chopper, as its name implies, is a side-scrolling helicopter game, much like the Desert Strike games only not played from a top-down perspective. Although the game boasts 2D visuals, it does feature 3D surround sound with the release of version 1.2, which also includes new missions, bringing the total number up to seventy-two, across three difficulty levels. Recently, version 1.2.1 has been made available. Enrolled Mac owners should be glad to hear that several nagging bugs have finally been dealt with.

Chopper is an Action packed side-scrolling helicopter game. Complete
your mission, and return to base, while avoiding enemy fire from tanks, bazooka wielding mad men, and jets.
Chopper is a winner in the uDevGame 2003 game development competition, Magic Jungle Software notes.

For the record, Chopper sports a total of 72 total missions across 3 difficulty levels, beautiful landscapes, weather effects, and explosions, random elements each time you play Machine Gun, Bombs, Rockets, Tanks, Jets and more, all spelling "adrenalin pumping game-play," according to majicjungle.com.

Chopper 1.2.1 fixes bug where jet sound could continue forever and the crash at level 8 on normal difficulty.

With the recent release of version 1.2, Chopper adds three new levels set in a new desert theme, ambient sound effects, smaller images on lower end computers (in order to improve loading times and frame rates), one new level in a new cave theme, "tutorial" loading screens , 'ijkl' keys can be used to control chopper, while the Suburbia level is now "a little more interesting," according to the developer.
